Weight loss. New job. Plus-size chic. Washington, we know you’re a smart lot, so don’t feel bad if there’s a fashion equation you can’t quite solve—figure issues and big occasions can leave even the most style-savvy fashionistas quaking in their heels. Instead of stressing, why not let us work out the answer?
For an upcoming feature in our July issue, we’re on the hunt for Washingtonians who feel they can’t quite get it right in the sartorial department. Send us your wardrobe woes, and you could be selected to receive a free style consultation, plus a shopping budget to go with!
Interested in applying? Here’s the nitty-gritty:
Submissions (send to firstname.lastname@example.org) will be accepted until 5 PM on Monday, March 28.
In each submission, please be sure to include the following information:
• Name, age, and occupation. Both males and females are welcome to apply.
• Place of residence.
• A few sentences describing your specific style issue. Body changed since you lost the baby weight? Not sure how to dress now that you’re starting a new job in a less formal field? We want to hear all about it. The more specific you are, the better.
• A photo of yourself (one that demonstrates your style issue) for our reference.
If chosen, The Washingtonian will send you shopping with a local style expert—and $250—to work out your wardrobe kinks. Participants must be willing to pose for before and after photos for the magazine. So good luck, and get writing!
