In addition to the Grilled Oyster Company in Potomac, there’s another Maryland opening as of today: Chef Geoff’s Rockville, the fifth restaurant (and fourth Chef Geoff’s) in Geoff Tracy‘s local string of eateries. After a few soft-opening services, the location is officially up and running, along with a spiffy new website.

Earlier this week, Todd Kliman interviewed Tracy, who’ll be spending part of the year in New York City with wife Norah O’Donnell in her new position as cohost of CBS This Morning. The main takeaway: It’ll be business as usual at Tracy’s Washington restaurants. Perhaps case in point, Rockville is already offering Chef Geoffian specials like all-day happy hour on Monday and Tuesday with $6 burgers and $8 “supermugs” (3 to 7 PM all other days), and half-price wine bottles on Mondays. Look for brunch to start next Sunday, and the pork-laden bacon bar to launch in October.

Chef Geoff’s Rockville12256 Rockville Pike, Rockville; 240-621-3090. Open for lunch Monday through Saturday 11:30 AM to 4 PM, Sunday brunch (starting September 23rd)  10:30 AM to 3 PM, and dinner, Monday through Sunday, from 4 to 10 PM; the bar is open until midnight nightly.
