The New Guard: Keith Turner

Keith Turner

Vice President for Development Services, Cityline Partners

Home to corporate titans such as Freddie Mac and Capital One, Tysons Corner has long been a destination for commuters. Now developer Keith Turner wants those commuters to stay.

The chairman of the Tysons Partnership—an association of businesses, government, and citizen groups—is leading an effort to turn the area from a suburban office park into America’s next great downtown—complete with four Metro stops, apartments, shops, and ball fields. The makeover won’t be finished until 2050, but the first buildings will be ready as early as 2014. And Turner’s organization is already busy rebranding Tysons Corner as simply Tysons.
