Here at Shop Around we are constantly on the hunt for fresh shopping destinations. So imagine our delight at the news of not one but five stores that just opened or are headed to the area. Read on for the scoop—and tell your bank account to brace itself!

1) Park & Madison

The colorful boutique, which just debuted in Fairfax’s Mosaic District, carries such brands as Free People, 7 for All Mankind, Nicole Miller, and BCBG, among other young, affordable brands. 2905 District Ave., Fairfax.

2) Redeem

Following a brief hiatus, the cool men’s and women’s boutique reopened on 14th Street early this month—and its new digs are, in a word, gorgeous. Boasting more square footage and a sleek, industrial interior, the shop is stocked with designs by the edgiest of up-and-coming brands. 1810 14th St., NW.

3) Steven Alan

Opening this Friday at 10 AM, the preppy-casual retailer will sit alongside such chic neighbors as Intermix, Relish, and Bonobos in Cady’s Alley. The space previously housed the months-long Muléh pop-up shop. 3319 M St., NW.

4) Topshop @ Nordstrom

While we wait for the real deal (fingers crossed), this permanent installation inside the Nordstrom in Pentagon City brings us the first brick-and-mortar offering of the British label in the area. It opens October 8 at 10 AM. Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, Arlington.

5) Calypso St. Barth

The ultra-luxurious brand brings its signature resortwear and new home decor to Georgetown just in time for the start of beach season, as it’s slated to open this spring. 3307 M St., NW.
