Passion Food Hospitality, the restaurant group behind seven local spots including DC Coast, Acadiana, and Fuego Cocina y Tequileria, plans for its first Maryland venture: a sister restaurant to Reston’s PassionFish. The 150-plus-seat space will debut in 2015 at the corner of Woodmont and Bethesda avenues in the upcoming Lot 31 development.

Since PassionFish opened in Reston Town Center in 2008, it has been a constant on our 100 Very Best Restaurants list. As at the Virginia version, chefs Jeff Tunks and Chris Clime plan for an eclectic seafood menu with everything from Mediterranean-style branzino to red Thai curry lobster; the Reston spot also boasts a number of sushi and crudo options. The restaurant is the first to sign on to the mixed residential-retail development, with more to come.
