On the evening of May 9, the second Runway Moms for a Cause fundraiser celebration kicked off Mother’s Day weekend with Washingtonian MOM as its media partner. The event was created by L~Shandi designer Lara Akinsaya and was held at the Renaissance Washington, DC Dupont Circle Hotel. There were more than 200 guests in attendance who were given the opportunity to participate in a silent auction raffle during the opening cocktail reception, which benefitted the charity Kidsave. The event was hosted by emcee Lauren Rothman, included a special live performance by recording artist Tanya Dallas-Lewis, and a runway presentation featuring adorable children along with real Washington moms.
