Watch Michelle Obama Dance With a Turnip

Root vegetables, meet Lil Jon.

Here’s one move that ensures you’ll never suffer root vegetable fatigue. During an #AskTheFirstLady Q&A session on Vine late Tuesday, FLOTUS was asked a series of questions related to her Let’s Move campaign, like her favorite vegetable (sweet potatoes?). The best answer came when user/President Obama impersonator Alphacat queried “How many calories do you burn every time you ’turn up’?!”

Her response:

This isn’t the only time the White House has employed Lil Jon’s hit song “Turn Down for What” to spread their message. The rapper recently released a Rock the Vote video “Turn Out for What” with Whoopi Goldberg, Lena Dunham, Fred Armisen, and others to encourage young voters to turn out for the November 4 midterm elections.

While both videos may sway young minds about voting/root vegetables, we’re partial to Michelle’s. The only failing of the First Lady’s video was that chef Sam Kass wasn’t in the background shouting “Fire it up loud/Another round of sprouts!” while throwing alfalfa in the air. Other that that: perfection. All we can do now is hope for a sequel. Kale Me Maybe?
