Restaurateur Mark Kuller Has Died at 61

Some very sad news today: Mark Kuller, the lawyer-turned-restaurateur behind Proof, Estadio, Doi Moi, and 2 Birds 1 Stone, has died at age 61. An obituary in the Washington Post relates the cause as pancreatic cancer.

There’s much to say about Kuller and his many contributions to the DC food scene, but for now, here’s Todd Kliman’s profile of the much-loved restaurateur.
