UPDATE, February 26: The Kennedy Center has added two shows on August 24 at 7 and 9:30 PM. Tickets are on sale now.

The comedian John Oliver will bring his stand-up act to the Kennedy Center for three nights from August 25 through 27, for his first performances in DC since becoming host of HBO’s Last Week Tonight in 2014.

Oliver—who broke into public awareness during his seven year stint as a Daily Show correspondent (and fill-in host during Jon Stewart’s filmmaking sabbatical)—frequently pokes fun at the District on Last Week Tonight, including segments on DC’s fight for statehood, the IRS, and the name of Washington’s football team.

Tickets for Oliver’s Kennedy Center dates go on sale for $59 and up on Friday for the general public, and Thursday for Kennedy Center members.
