Washingtonians Are Already Renting Out Their Houses on Airbnb for Trump’s Inauguration

Prices go as high as $2,000 a night.

Everyone is responding to Donald Trump‘s election in their own ways. In the Washington area, some people are taking a pragmatic approach: By renting out their houses in Airbnb for his inauguration.

The average price of Airbnb listings for the DC area during the inauguration has surged to three times what it is normally. Some listings go for as much as $2,000 a night. Some people listing their houses have put Trump’s name in the headline and even included photos of Trump to attract renters.

For instance, You can Make America Great Again at at this two-bedroom in Navy Yard for $1,498 a night plus fees and taxes.

Or pay a just few hundred dollars more for this “Inauguration Perfection” on Capitol Hill. Hurry! This place usually booked, Airbnb says.

Or for $2,000 a night plus fees and taxes, you can stay in this “Sun-drenched, loft-like 1-bedroom in Dupont area.” Convenient to art museums, restaurants, and bars favored by the depressed coastal elite.
