6 Fun Food Events Around DC This Weekend

Beer Release: Join fellow beer fans at Roofers Union on Thursday. The Adams Morgan bar/restaurant hosts Atlas Brew Works’ Summer Series Vol. 2 from 5 pm until close, with four new summer beers including  “Should I Stay or Should I Gose” ($6 each).

Rosé Tasting: Love pink wine? Get into the summer spirit on Thursday with Wisdom‘s  Rosé Tasting event. Beginning at 7 pm and lasting until 10 pm, guests can try a variety of rosé wine alongside appetizers for $25.

Town Hall Cookout: Town Hall’s Summer Cookout Series continues this Saturday with a crawfish boil. The party includes all-you-can-eat crawfish by Onward Reserve, as well as your choice of beer and wine from Victory Brewing & Bud Light ($40 per person).  Tickets can be purchased online for two seating options: 5 pm or 7:30 pm.

Fine Arts Festival: Take an art escape on Saturday and Sunday with the Bethesda Fine Arts Festival, featuring ceramics, paintings, printing-making, and more. A variety of local restaurants provide festival fare, including Mamma LuciaTapp’d, and Bethesda Curry Kitchen. The festival is free and open to the public. Saturday’s festival is from 10 am until 6 pm, and Sunday’s festival will be held from 10 am and 5 pm.

Beer Festival: The Maryland Craft Beer Festival goes down on Saturday, rain or shine, in Frederick’s Carroll Creek Linear Park. Over 40 MD breweries participate, and there’re buses leaving from several breweries including Silver Spring’s Denizen Brewing Co. The event begins at noon for VIP ticket holders ($50), and 1:30 for general admission ($40). Bus transportation plus entrance is $60.

Mother’s Day: Celebrate mom on Sunday! Don’t have a reservation yet? These top restaurants were still showing availability for brunch earlier this week. There’s also still time to find her a great gift.

Upcoming Events

BBQ Beer Dinner: Take part in American Craft Beer Week and dig into some barbecue at Graffiato. The restaurant is partnering with Founders Brewing Co. on Monday for a four-course dinner. Guests can sample dishes made with the paired beer, like pork ribs with a Curmudgeon Ale barbecue glaze. Tickets can be purchased online.
