Escape to New York

What’s special: In the heart of midtown Manhattan, this hotel enjoys an ideal location close to Rockefeller Center, Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, Grand Central Station, the theater district, and various restaurants. Make sure to head to the 30th floor rooftop for magnificent views, evening cocktails and small plates, or a delicious breakfast. Escape to Warmer Weather

What’s special: Lighthouse Pointe is Grand Lucayan’s all-inclusive seaside retreat featuring 198 guest rooms. A Taste of South Beach

What’s special: Located in the heart of South Beach and across from the ocean, the hotel is steps from dining, nightlife, and entertainment hotspots. Some of the hotel’s rooms have patios or balconies. Guests also get an outdoor pool with a Jacuzzi, lobby bar, fitness center, and on-site restaurant. Available at the beach are complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and small cabanas for hotel guests. Pet friendly.

The deal: The “We Love Our Guests” package wants visitors to relax on the newly expanded pool deck with two complimentary cocktails, lounge on the beach with free towels and chairs, or explore the area by bicycle. Overnight stays are at a 10 percent discount. Ritzy Staycation

What’s special: Before you even get to your room at this Ritz-Carlton, you’ll be given a glass of Champagne. But that’s not all there is to love. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The linens are superb. If you want to exercise, the hotel has a fitness center. Being connected to the Fashion Center at Pentagon City makes it easy to shop. And with Metro right there, you can head out if you want to go into the District.

The deal: The Ritz-Carlton, Pentagon City Ultimate Staycation includes Club Room-level accommodations, a Virginia cheese and charcuterie selection plus sparkling wine in-room, free parking, and early check-in and late check-out. Being on the Club Level, guests have access to food throughout the day (a full breakfast and lunch presentation and heavy hors d’oeuvres in the evening), complimentary wine, free WiFi, and a concierge to assist with any needs. Romance in the Air

What’s special: Just over the Bay Bridge sits The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Built in 2015, it offers rooms and suites with views of the bay, an on-site restaurant that draws inspiration from local farmers and watermen (the crab cakes are all crab), and a relaxing spa featuring botanical treatments. The deal: The “Inn Love” package offers accommodations, a complimentary bottle of Champagne, and chocolate-covered strawberries. The deal saves 20 percent off the usual cost. Middleburg Style

Where: Goodstone Inn & Restaurant, 36205 Snake Hill Rd., Middleburg, Va.; 540-687-3333.

What’s special: This charming inn is set on 265 acres of rolling hills and countryside in Virginia’s wine and horse country.
