Wendy and Enrique—both from Bolivia—met through mutual friends at a Memorial Day parade in Maryland, where, they say, sparks immediately flew as the pair bonded over a shared appreciation of Jim Carey’s comedy.
Ten years later, they married in a September wedding at the Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle, in the company of 300 guests, then celebrated with a reception at Foxchase Manor. The wedding colors included white, green, and silver—with the reception tables lined with candles—and the menu consisted of Bolivian dishes, followed by a chaco-flan cake dessert. Following the wedding, the pair honeymooned in the French Polynesian islands of Bora Bora, Tahiti, and Mo’orea. See the photos of their big day below.
