What’s special: This charming boutique hotel is set on 100 acres in the beautiful Virginia countryside with views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Part of this historic property once was home to Thomas Jefferson’s daughter and husband. The original stately 1799 Manor House features a wide front porch and tall columns and was built in the Federal style. Up in Bean Town

What’s special: The hotel opened in August 2023 after a multi-million-dollar renovation within Boston’s first Art Deco skyscraper. Located where downtown Boston and the financial district converge, the Dagny marries the old and new. The exterior entrance displays decorative terra cotta elements with symbols of America, the industrial age, and local commerce, and the lobby ceiling still showcases the original gold-leaf Art deco mural of Atlas with the world on his shoulders and Boston in the horizon.
