Workout Clothes You Can Wear Outside the Gym: Men’s Edition

Get rid of that ratty college T-shirt and upgrade your workout wardrobe with these looks.

Okay, gents: You asked and we heard. Last week we offered ladies several stylish alternatives to grubby gym gear. Today, we’re taking a page out of Barney Stinson’s playbook and showing the guys how to “tracksuit up” in style.

While many men resort to ratty T-shirts with armpit stains for the gym (you know who you are), style-conscious guys know that pumping iron is no excuse to not look your best.

A muted color scheme—such as gray, black, navy, white, and an occasional copper red thrown in when you feel like standing out—will help you look pulled together but effortlessly so; you don’t want to seem like you’re trying too hard.

If you’ll be wearing your gym gear post-workout, the same guidelines we gave the ladies apply. Shell out the extra dough for high-performance fabrics that wick perspiration. It’s not too appetizing to eat lunch across from someone whose clothes are dripping with sweat.
