Britney Spears is making her comeback official by going on her first major tour in four years next spring. She performs at the Verizon Center on Tuesday, March 24. Her new album, Circus, was released Tuesday, and we’re guessing there’ll be three rings set up in the middle of the arena to go along with the circus theme. Tickets ($39 to $128) are available during the presale until 10 PM Friday, December 5. The regular ticket sale begins Saturday, December 6, at 10 AM. The presale password is “IHEARTBRIT.”

Pop operatic quartet Il Divo will perform at the Patriot Center Friday, May 8. American Idol’s Simon Cowell brought the four solo singers together in 2004, and since then they’ve sold out two world tours. Tickets ($59.50 to $129.50) for the Fairfax show of their latest tour go on sale Monday, December 8, at 10 AM.

The Fray burst onto the mainstream music scene in 2005 with the hit song “Over My Head (Cable Car)” and went on to get nominated for two Grammy Awards the next year. The band is preparing to release a second album next year as well as go on tour. The tour comes to 9:30 Club on Friday, January 16. Tickets ($27.50) went on sale this morning.

The guys from the ska/punk band Less Than Jake met at the University of Florida more than 15 years ago; now they have their own record label, Sleep It Off Records. Check out their newest material (now that they’re their own bosses) at Rams Head on Friday, March 13. The Expendables open the show; tickets ($18) go on sale Saturday at 10 AM.

Slipknot is going on its All Hope Is Gone tour—titled after the metal band’s most recent album—next year. Coheed and Cambria and Trivium are the opening acts. The show comes to Baltimore’s 1st Mariner Arena on Friday, February 13. Tickets ($35 to $43) go on sale Saturday at 10 AM.

Indie favorite Canadian rock band Tokyo Police Club plays at the Black Cat, with openers Born Ruffians and Harlem Shakes, on Thursday, February 26. Tickets ($15) go on sale Friday at 5 PM.
