Where & When: What to Do Tonight

Latin ballads, a rooftop pool party, and the screening of a saucy independent thriller heat things up tonight

Wolf Trap’s Filene Center hosts Latin star Alejandro Sanz as part of his American tour. This will be the multiple Latin Grammy Award winner’s debut at this venue. His successful career as a Spanish-music singer includes nine weeks at the top of the Latin Pop chart during 2009 for a duet with Alicia Keys, “Looking for Paradise.” He also cowrote “La Tortura” with Shakira. $30 for lawn tickets, $48 pavilion; 8 PM.

Sail away as the Donovan House rooftop hosts Drift Monday, the closest experience to yacht travel without hitting the water. Drink specials include $5 beers and cocktail specials. DJ Doc Rok spins old-school hip hop and reggae. To help get you in the nautical mood, yacht wear is encouraged but not required. 7 PM.

Catch a screening at the Fridge of Babylon Central, the screenwriting and directing debut of Thievery Corporation’s Eric Hilton. The movie, about a PR exec turned bit player in Saudi economic espionage, is both a romance and a political thriller. The movie features local actors Joe Steger, W. Ellington Felton, and Neda Zahraie. $8 at the door, cash only. Doors at 7:30, film at 8.
