In the week that will forever go down as The One Where That New York Times Guy Offended This Whole Town, it is nice to see our (excellent) dining scene get a little appreciation.

Washington restaurants are pretty well represented in the 2013 edition of Wine Enthusiast’s 100 Best Wine Restaurants list—an influential guide that spans the country and includes lauded vino destinations like Marea, the French Laundry, and the Herbfarm in Woodinville, Washington. Some of the spots that made the 2012 version of the list got bumped—including, curiously, great pairing place the Ashby Inn. Below are the places that made the cut.

Art and Soul

Charleston (Baltimore)

CityZen

Fiola

Estadio

Goodstone Inn & Restaurant

Plume

Ripple

Minibar

Woodberry Kitchen (Baltimore)
