Truck Stops: Where to Find Lunch on Wheels

Happy Friday! The food-truck fleet is clustered around Franklin Park at 13th and K streets, Northwest, today. (Look for the hash-tag #FranklinFriday on Twitter.) The big news in the food-truck world is the debut of Sixth & Rye, a collaboration between Spike Mendelsohn (Good Stuff Eatery; We, the Pizza) and Sixth & I Historic Synagogue.

Chinatown area, where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's first stop at Ninth and H sts., NW) and the new Sixth & Rye (at Sixth and I sts., NW).

Downtown DC/West End, where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's second stop at 18th St. and Pennsylvania Ave., NW; third stop at 18th and E sts., NW), Benethiopia from Fojol Bros., and Pleasant Pops (20th and L sts., NW, at 2:30).

Farragut Square (17th and I sts., NW), where you'll find a Sâuçá truck, Sweet Bites Truck, Scoops2u, and Sol Mexican Grill. A Red Hook Lobster truck is nearby at Connecticut Avenue and M Street, Northwest (the other is at Judiciary Square at Sixth and E sts., NW).

Franklin Park (13th and K sts., NW), where you'll find DC Empanadas, a Sâuçá truck, Big Cheese Truck, Merlindia from Fojol Bros., Sidewalk Sweets, DC Empanadas, Pi Truck DC, El Floridano, Pleasant Pops at noon, and Eat Stix. Pedro and Vinny's is nearby at 15th and K streets, Northwest.

L'Enfant (Sixth St. and Maryland Ave., SW), where you'll find Takorean, a Sâuçá truck, and Cap Mac.

Metro Center (12th and G sts., NW),
where you'll find Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 1's fourth stop), a Sâuçá truck, DC Pie Truck, and Sabor'a Street.

Navy Yard (Fourth and M sts., SE), where you'll find PORC.

Northern Virginia, where you'll find District Taco (Rosslyn), BBQ Bandidos (Rosslyn), and Curbside Cupcakes (Pinky 2 going to Rosslyn, Courthouse, and Ballston).
