Washington Sports Club Open to All Storm Victims

Local residents can use the gym for a free workout and hot shower.

To help out the thousands of Washingtonians who are still without power, all Washington Sports Club locations are opening their doors to affected residents.

Until Sunday, July 8, storm victims can use Washington Sports Club facilities for free—think hot showers, electrical outlets, locker rooms, and all gym equipment.

All fitness classes are free for storm victims, too. Classes include Pilates, total-body conditioning, boot camp, yoga, indoor cycling, and more.

However, all users must be 18 or older and show a photo ID. Simply walk into the club and let the management know your situation.

There are 18 clubs in the Washington region, including locations in Capitol Hill, Columbia Heights, Dupont Circle, North Bethesda, Arlington, and Alexandria. For a full list of the gyms, visit the My Sports Clubs website
