Less than a mile from the Ballston Metro, Buckingham Commons (4330 N. Henderson Rd.; 703-875-0303) is a development of Federal-style red-brick townhouses. Built around courtyards, each four-story townhouse has a rooftop deck, hardwood floors, and a two-car garage. Three-bedrooms start at $675,000, four- and five-bedrooms in the low $700,000s.

Completed in 2007, the Park at Courthouse (2220 N. Fairfax Dr.; 703-516-9445) has about ten two-bedrooms with dens left on the market, from $619,000 to $690,000. The condos have ten-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, and kitchens with ceramic-tile floors and stainless-steel appliances. The 98-unit building boasts a business center, a gym, and a community facility with a plasma TV.
When finished, Rhodes Hill Square (1511 N. Rolfe St.; 703-312-9444) will include 89 condos in three red-brick buildings. The second phase of units hit the market in March and is nearly sold out; a third goes on sale soon. Prices start at $689,900 for single-story condos, $800,000 for two-story.
Although units in Turnberry Tower (1881 N. Nash St.; 703-243-3000) went on the market in 2005, about half of the 247 condos are still for sale. Prices start at $599,000 for a one-bedroom to just under $6 million for a four-bedroom penthouse. Every unit in the glass-and-steel high-rise has floor-to-ceiling windows. One block from the Rosslyn Metro, the building has an indoor pool, fitness center, and 24-hour security and valet.
Of the 32 townhouses at Vista on Courthouse (12th Court N. and N. Courthouse Rd.; 703-253-8001), only a handful remain. Each comes with a private terrace, granite countertops, and hardwood floors in the living areas. There’s also a pool and fitness center for the community. Prices for remaining units start at $899,000.
