The Day’s Adventure: If you love golf, spectacular water views, and fresh seafood, an outing to Queenstown Harbor, an hour from DC just over the Bay Bridge, is a perfect day trip.
Lay of the Land: Queenstown Harbor’s challenging River course stretches 7,110 yards from the tips, but four sets of tees also allow mere mortals to have a good time. The location guarantees plenty of water and wetlands to view and encounter. The second course, the Lakes, sometimes gets shortchanged. It’s almost as aesthetically pleasing, though less challenging at 6,569 yards.
Insider Tip: Queenstown Harbor is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, so keep an eye out for deer, bald eagles, hawks, and other wildlife.
Rest and Refuel: We suggest a stop on your way home at either the Narrows Restaurant at Kent Narrows for delicious seafood or Cantler’s Riverside Inn in Annapolis for some of the area’s freshest crabs, clams, and oysters.
