Vineyard Whimsy and a Stylish Engagement Shoot

We do the research so you don’t have to: inspiring real Washington weddings (and engagement sessions!) from our favorite blogs.

Sweet vineyard love. Photographs by Eric Kelley Photography

Vineyard weddings have become totally in-demand over the past few years—they’re both romantic and rustic (and the whole abundance of wine thing doesn’t hurt, either). Fortunately, there are several beautiful wineries within a few hours’ drive that are perfect wedding venues—including Keswick Vineyards. This wedding, shot by Eric Kelley Photography, has some fantastic whimsical details—the colorful confetti cake, the beanbag toss, the windowpane seating chart, the handwritten signs, the bride’s funky necklace—and our favorite, the Carpe Donut truck!
Love and Lavender

Another vineyard wedding—this time at Bluemont Vineyard, which is just an hour outside of DC. The bright red, orange, and pink color scheme is so lively, as are the farm-fresh flowers.
Ruffled

We love this Annapolis engagement shoot—this couple is just so darn stylish (doesn’t the groom remind you a little of Blaine from Glee?). And the shot of the groom holding the mistletoe? Swoon!
Something Navy

There are a few new wedding videographers in the DC area that we’re just now being introduced to. This week, Capitol Romance showed us the work of Seventh Avenue Films—and we’re huge fans of the cinematography on this wedding film.
