Your guide to Washington’s fashion-centric events and deals.

This week’s can’t-miss list of shopping deals and fashion events includes a style seminar and a mimosa-filled morning of beauty treatments.

Gilt City Best of 14th and U Street
The local edition of the luxe Gilt City serves up deals at the most stylish spots along the 14th/U Street corridor, guest curated by Foundry owner and interior designer Yvette Freeman. The flash-sale deals include discounted cupcakes at Cakelove and a mixology class at Marvin, but our fave is for Freeman’s own Foundry: a tiered offer for the store’s merch ($150 for $300 in-store credit, for example) or discounted design services from the store’s decor experts. The Parisian-inspired furniture and decor store is one of our local faves, so don’t miss this chance at the equivalent of an all-store discount. Monday through April 22 on Gilt City DC.

Sassanova’s Autism Fundraiser
The chic shoe boutique hosts a fundraising event supporting autism advocacy nonprofit Autism Speaks: Donate $5 to the cause and take 20 percent off your entire purchase. Sassanova will match each contribution and add a dollar for every customer that comes into one of the three area locations. Through April 15. Sassanova stores: 1641 Wisconsin Ave., NW; 7134 Bethesda La., Bethesda; 805 Aliceanna St., Baltimore.

Spring Style Workshop
Join stylist Cathy Phillips Starnes of
Arlington-based wardrobe consulting biz Style Speaks as she hosts an
intimate style workshop at Alexandria’s Periwinkle boutique. In store
for the night: raffle prizes from the likes of Zoe Boutique, Bellacara,
and Urban Chic, a Stella & Dot trunk show, 25 percent off of the
store’s wares, bubbly, goodie bags, and—of course—style chat with
Starnes. She’ll be answering questions, dissecting the season’s top
trends, and advising guests how to pick clothes that flatter their
figure. Only ten spots are left, so move fast! Tuesday 7 to 9 PM. 1557
Potomac Greens Dr., Alexandria. $79 through Eventbrite.

Brunch, Blowouts, and Bubbly
The
blogging duo Bitches Who Brunch cohost a beauty-focused morning at
Chevy Chase’s Nival Salon & Spa, where you can snag manis, mini
massages, masks, and blowouts, cupcakes and muffins from dessert shop
Something Sweet, and mimosas and bellinis, naturally. A limited number
of VIP tickets get you a blowout for 50 bucks. Saturday 11 AM to 2 PM.
5481 Wisconsin Ave., upper level. $20 through Eventbrite.

M29’s French Fete
Georgetown’s
adorable gift boutique M29 Lifestyle joins up with Alliance Française
for an all-ages party fit for Francophiles. Little ones can partake in a
storytelling hour, a puppet show, and other kid-friendly activities,
while adults nibble on delish pastries and crepes from Paul and Café
Bonaparte. Raffle giveaways featuring two Paris-themed books and a gift
card finish things off. Saturday 11 AM to 3 PM. 2800 Pennsylvania Ave.
Free. RSVP to M29@fourseasons.com by Thursday.
