Bloomers

3210 O St., NW; 202-525-4852

With two locations already open in Alexandria’s Old Town and the Village at Shirlington, this chic underwear, sleepwear, and loungewear boutique finally makes its DC debut this Friday with the opening of a new store in Georgetown. The O Street store will feature such Bloomers mainstays as Spanx, Wacoal, Natori, Cosabella, and Hanky Panky, and will also showcase brands exclusive to this location, such as Kensie, Tees by Tina, and Beyond Yoga. “I am a native Washingtonian and grew up coming into Georgetown for the stores, restaurants, and bars. In fact, I had my first job out of college at a law firm in Georgetown,” says owner Kim Putens. “To me, opening a store in Georgetown is like coming home.”

Freddy

Westfield Montgomery Mall, Bethesda; 301-365-3180

The Italian lifestyle brand has landed stateside with its first US location at Westfield Montogomery Mall. Featuring apparel for dance and fitness enthusiasts, this store also introduces the brand’s signature WR.UP trousers. Created to emphasize the waistline and smooth the figure, the WR.UP system claims to support glute muscles, reduce thighs and hips, and provide a little lift to the derrière. Freddy’s line could be exactly the motivation you needed to make it to the gym this week.
