The now-local jewelry designer (she just moved from New York) kicks off her first area event with a launch party and trunk show at Mazza Gallerie bauble boutique Tabandeh, where her art deco-inspired designs will be available for purchase. Red Engine & Heather Hawkins Trunk Shows
Two trunk shows featuring LA-based designers happen in Old Town this week: Starting Thursday, check out the earthy-glam jewelry styles of designer Heather Hawkins and receive 20 percent off your buy; then on Friday, try on the variety of jean styles from denim line Red Engine at Zoe Boutique. Junior League of Washington’s Holiday Shops
The 55th annual holiday marketplace fundraiser kicks off downtown this week, and this year’s vendor list includes such local companies as Fornash, Pear Tree Cottage, and Queen Bee jewelry, alongside national brands. But before the event opens to the public, the organization hosts a shopping preview party that will feature a demonstration and pop-up shop coordinated by Urban Chic. Red Sprinkle Pop-Up Beauty Lounge
For the second year, the local consulting firm Red Sprinkle hosts a pop-up beauty night to benefit their after-school program Fashion Camp. This year the group teams up with Neiman Marcus to offer luxe beauty fun such as a Christian Dior polish bar, Elle Bella lash bar, and holiday make-up tips from blogger Lianne Farbes of the Makeup Girl, plus goodies from Chanel, YSL Beauty, and Sisley. Nars’s Uzo at Nordstrom

New York-based line M.M.
