UPDATED: Calypso St. Barth Opens in Georgetown on Thursday

The purveyor of upscale resortwear begins welcoming customers this week.

If you’ve taken a stroll down M Street recently, you’ve probably noticed the lavender-covered windows between 33rd and 34th streets, Northwest, at the former site of Georgtown’s AT&T store and the defunct Salon Rafik. The signature hue means only one thing: Calypso St. Barth is opening soon.

Following months of anticipation for the luxurious brand’s local, 2,718-square-foot outpost, a public relations representative confirms the store will open this Thursday, February 6—just in time for Washingtonians to shop for their impending spring getaways. In addition to its exotic caftans, flowy dresses, and colorful, beach-appropriate jewelry, the new store will also sell items from Calypso’s new curated home line, featuring decor by both international and American designers.

The store opens Thursday at 11, and a weekend-long celebration with cocktails and small bites lasts through Sunday.
