Can’t resist a glossy lacquer finish or a dash of gold? If maximalist style is the name of your decor game, head to one of these four area stores to indulge that glam side.

Lori Graham Showroom

1412 14th St. NW. 202-745-0118.

This shop reflects owner Lori Graham’s distinct design style, deftly mixing amazing vintage finds—mostly in a Hollywood Regency style—with carefully curated contemporary art and statement lighting.

Jonathan Adler

1267 Wisconsin Ave. NW. 202-965-1416.

Known for his loud graphics, cheerful colors, and a cheeky sense of humor, Jonathan Adler’s Georgetown shop also offers up the designer’s signature mix of mirrored surfaces, midcentury influences, and Lucite detailing. A few favorites? This brass and Lucite etagere, sheepskin bench, and burl-wood console.

Coco Blanca

210 S Union St., Alexandria. 703-535-8002.

This Old Town boutique is perhaps the most subdued of these four, blending a beachy, seaside-inspired approach with a dash of California-esque glitz. Think lots of white, but elevated with gold-leaf detailing, mirror accents, and oversize proportions.

Z Gallerie

Tysons Corner Center. 703-506-8602.

This Los Angeles-based chain has the glam factor on lock with its maxed-out style, which involves layering lushly textured furniture, loads of shine and metallic, and bold decor. Go here when you want a opulent tufted velvet sofa or a dramatic decorative objet. We’re especially fond of these geometric canisters, gold-leafed nesting tables, and this Greek Key chest.
