A Manly Salon for Guys Just Opened in Reston Town Center

Though Joe Grooming has been supplying stores and salons with their selection of natural hair care and shaving products since 2002, the family-owned business is just now opening their first brick and mortar location.

McLean native Dan Kliska serves as the brand’s president, and he is joined by Reg Laws, owner of the local PR at Partners salon chain, in the opening of the first-ever Joe Grooming salon and store, which will celebrate a grand opening at its Reston Town Center address on October 29.

With the masculine black and white branding, complete with a men’s public restroom figure as the logo, the shop has marketed itself as a space where dudes can be dudes–where the average “rugged, athletic, intelligent, modern, and masculine” man can get his beard trimmed and his hair styled.

Joes can also pick up their grooming products at the store–from pomade to texture paste to thickening shampoo, which, yes, is crafted to defy hair that thins with age–all of which are made in America. And because the brand has a “Get One, Give One” program, for every full-size Joe Grooming product purchased, one is donated to support four local humanitarian organizations: Cornerstones, Family PASS, Northern Virginia Family Service, and Share of McLean.

The salon is now open at 11944 Market Street in Reston.
