Hannah, a career coach and chief of staff to the CEO of a software company, and Sean, a Topgun graduate and naval flight officer for the US Navy, met in high school—she went to Stone Ridge in Bethesda, and he to Gonzaga in DC. Though they dated briefly then—they were friends for ten years before romance (re)ignited in the summer of 2018. They dated for three short months in person before Sean was deployed. At their “Winter in Washington”-themed wedding a few years later, the pair exchange vows at the St. Aloysius Church at Gonzaga College High School, then celebrated with nearly 200 loved ones at the Army Navy Country Club, which was decorated in navy blue, greenery, white roses, boxwood, and Magnolia leaves from the bride’s grandparents back yard, plus lots of warm lighting.

At the reception, gold-sprayed oyster shells that the families collected served as place cards,
The pair cut a “White Christmas Coconut Cake” with a US Navy sword that Sean’s parents used at their wedding, and the groom’s cake mimicked the pair’s Yeti cooler, stickers and all.
