Dupont gets another fast-casual dining option with the opening of &pizza on Monday. The homegrown chain has grown quickly in the Washington area, with twelve locations in the District, Maryland, and Virginia since the flagship debuted on H Street, Northeast in 2012. And yes, it’s still the only pizza place that will pay for your tattoos.

The customizable format and menu options remain the same in Dupont; guests can make their own pies from a variety of doughs, sauces, cheeses and toppings, or order “signature” savory and dessert pizzas. The offerings are rounded out with salads, Italian waffle cookies, beers, and carafes of wine.

While food and drink options are similar to other &pizzas, the decor nods to the neighborhood with a wall mural fashioned after the Human Rights Campaign equality icon. The shop will also keep later-than-average hours given the number of bars and clubs in the area, serving until 3 on Thursdays and 4 on Fridays and Saturdays.

&pizza Dupont. 1215 Connecticut Ave., NW. Open Sunday through Wednesday, 11 to 11; Thursday 11 to 3; Friday and Saturday 11 to 4.
