Little Serow Closed for Summer Break Until September 4

Try these excellent Thai spots instead.

When we recently suggested that you hit Little Serow during the dog days, we should have remembered that the restaurant specializing in dishes from the Isan region of Thailand took a breather this time last year, suspending service at the end of August through early September.

A commenter pointed out that this year, too, Johnny Monis and staff are on hiatus until September 4, when service will resume. We are certain the break is well deserved, but we regret that you will not be able to take advantage of the short lines we enjoyed earlier this month. As a consolation prize, please consider the excellent—and inexpensive—Thai restaurants that made the cut on our 2013 Cheap Eats list, now online. Look out for a new menu at Little Serow on 9/4.
