Sure, an entire kitchen floor decked out in ikat-emblazoned tiles might be overkill (and overpriced). But we like the look of a boldly patterned entryway--just big enough to make a statement--or a pepped-up powder room, with bright patterns either on the floor or, if you're feeling particularly brave, on the walls.

In the kitchen, we've been spotting Moroccan tile on countertops and backsplashes, sometimes climbing as high as the ceiling (which we love). We also love the look of a large-scale geometric print--in one or two contrasting shades--on large swaths of floor space.
