• The DC government wants a piece of the $1.9 billion in stimulus money the federal government plans to spend on stabilizing the national housing market. They would use it to acquire and renovate foreclosed properties. [WBJ]

• The CityMarket at O project in DC's Shaw neighborhood received a $1 million grant from the city council. [Examiner via RenewShaw]

• New York University wants to build a new building along L Street, Northwest to house classrooms and student dormitories. Check out an early rendering here. [DCMetrocentic]

Here's an interesting article about how the housing crisis is effecting DC's Ward 4, which includes both expensive single family homes and dilapidated row houses.  [WBJ]

• The annual Capitol Hill House and Garden Tour takes place this weekend and features ten homes in Barrack’s Row. The tour includes a look inside the Home of the Commandants at Marine Barracks Washington. [Urban Turf]

• DC United fans are rallying tomorrow in support of a new stadium for the soccer team. Plans to build the stadium in DC and Prince George’s County fell through earlier this year. The rally starts at 3:30 in Lincoln Park. [Housing Complex]
