Not Too Hot to Shop Sale at Hysteria

If you missed Alexandria’s annual sidewalk sale this past weekend, fear not: Stellar deals still remain. This week, score a free item by the likes of Theory, Vince, and DVF by shopping at Hysteria, the beloved Old Town boutique where buying two sale items automatically earns you a third at no cost. Through next Monday. 125 S. Fairfax Dr., Alexandria.

Samira13 Pops Up in Georgetown

Stylish Patina’s Rough Luxe Market

Leaps from its modest beginnings as an Etsy retailer with weekend barn sales, this Falls Church vintage home furnishings shop hosts its third Rough Luxe Marketplace this weekend. The shop’s 2,500-square-foot warehouse will open to the public and be stocked to the brim with one-of-a-kind vintage and reclaimed home decor, such as chalk-painted vanities, reupholstered sofas, and gorgeous glassware. DIY supplies will also be available for purchase. Friday and Saturday 10 to 5 and Sunday noon to 5. 138 W. Jefferson St., Falls Church.

Attention, DIYers and Budding Entrepreneurs

Dream of opening a boutique in the city or designing your own clothing line? This event is for you. The DC Fashion Foundation hosts expert Raji Rankins, a University of the District of Columbia fashion and merchandising professor and Georgetown store owner, for a workshop on how to get started in the fashion biz and build a successful brand. The event takes place this weekend at the Sherwood Recreation Center, and registration is required. Saturday 1 to 3. 640 Tenth St., NE.
