An Annapolis Proposal, a Vintage Carnival Wedding, and More

We do the research so you don’t have to: inspiring real Washington weddings, proposals, and engagement sessions from our favorite blogs.

Awww! Photographs by Krista A. Jones

Thanksgiving weekend was huge for marriage proposals, and there’s one we’re particularly excited about. Natalie Franke, a wedding photographer and Bayside Bride blogger, got engaged to her longtime love, Huey, and her co-blogger and photographer friend Krista A. Jones captured the whole thing. We’re looking forward to following Natalie’s wedding planning on the blog.
Bayside Bride

We think Glen Echo Park is one of the coolest wedding venues in the Washington area. And this vintage-carnival-themed affair is just so amazing, we can’t stop looking at the photos. Props to our friends at Amber Karson Events, who planned the whole incredible thing.

Looking for the perfect fall centerpiece? We love the branches used at this Virginia vineyard wedding. The leaf-motif escort cards are super-cute, too!
Every Last Detail

This Howard University engagement shoot features a couple that totally wins “Best Looking” in our wedding world. The colorful buildings make a bright backdrop, and we’re kind of obsessed with the bride-to-be’s outfit.
The Bride’s Cafe

It never occurred to us that the National Cathedral could be a fabulous engagement shoot location, but after seeing these photos, we’re huge fans of the idea.
