Maryland Bride is Six Months Pregnant on Her Wedding Day, Looks FLAWLESS

Katherine Houglum and Geoffry Bowman celebrated their wedding on April 11, 2015.

When planning their April wedding, Katherine Houglum and Geoffry Bowman wanted a venue that would feel both casual and intimate, an outdoor setting they could enjoy with their closest friends and family. They found the perfect mix at Caboose Farm, where they were not only able to plan their dream open-air ceremony, but they also got to pose for portraits on the real train caboose on the property. Though Katherine immediately felt comfortable around Geoffry when they met through mutual friends in nursing school, she wasn’t sure if he was single, so their first date didn’t come until several months after they’d started hanging out. Intentions having been made clear, they met up for a movie at the Annapolis Mall, and by the time the credits ran, neither was ready for the date to end.

They had dated for six years when Geoffry planned a hot air balloon ride date on the Eastern Shore. Though the high winds that day cancelled the balloon trip, Geoffry wasn’t about to let it ruin their day. Instead, they stopped at Sandy Point State Park–where he’d taken Katherine on a date years earlier in their relationship–and as they took a stroll along the water, Geoffry asked her to marry him.

For their April 11, 2015 wedding, the biggest surprise was the bride’s six month baby bump, which she carried beneath her stunning Maggie Sottero gown. The happy couple wed beside a stone wall on Caboose Farm’s property before snapping photos inside the real train car. Flower girls dolled up in dresses from Etsy and tiny denim jackets made an adorable addition to the ceremony, as did the signage scattered around the farm.

After dining on cupcakes and dancing to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud,” the couple departed for happily ever after.
