This Star Wars Engagement Shoot Totally Brightened Our Day

Lightsabers are absolutely involved.

There’s a lot of fun to be had with an engagement shoot. You can stop for ice cream cones, throw paint bombs at each other, play in a huge ball pit . . . or, if you’re Debbie Galo and Edwin Pinto, you can have a lightsaber fight. These high school sweethearts paired up with Din + Cal at Rocklands Farm for a Star Wars-themed engagement shoot, and the results are equal part adorable and awesome.

The couple bonded over shared interests during high school summer school, and Edwin proposed at midnight at the annual Galo Christmas Eve party last year. “Our passion for gaming, Legos, and Star Wars brought us closer together,” says the bride-to-be, who tells us both she and her fiancé grew up watching the movies.

Debbie and Edwin are set to wed in a rustic chic celebration at Gaithersburg’s Smokey Glen Farm. Fingers crossed the lightsabers make a second appearance!
