Why hit one DC landmark when you can visit three? Zayrish Hussain and Asif Kazmi, along with John Heredia Wedding Photography, took their engagement session to the Botanical Gardens, the Library of Congress, and the Supreme Court, all in one day.

Asif and Zayrish were both visiting the same beach on vacation when a mutual friend made an introduction. Zayrish wondered where the handsome man had been all her life, and Asif couldn’t take his eyes off her. When they returned from their trip, Asif asked Zayrish on a date, and before the night was over, they realized how much they had in common. Though they lived an hour and a half apart, they both committed to keeping the relationship afloat.

They’d dated for two years when Asif planned a surprise skydiving trip for Zayrish, who was so stunned by the concept of skydiving that a proposal didn’t even cross her mind. After they made their jump, family and friends came out from their hiding spots below to hold up signs that spelled out “Will You Marry Me?” for Zayrish to read as she made her descent. When they hit the ground, Asif got down on one knee to propose.

For their engagement session withJohn Heredia Wedding Photography, Zayrish and Asif planned five different looks with the help of stylists Loreal Butler and Jessica Fields of Lauren Latane. Along with the five outfits, the couple included flowers—from a floral crown to a single red rose—to go with their “Love in Bloom” engagement session theme.

The engagement session took them to multiple iconic spots in downtown DC, including the Botanical Gardens, the Library of Congress, and the  Supreme Court Building, giving their session a distinct Washington vibe. Zayrish and Asif are currently planning to marry in August at The Grand in Baltimore.
