Brides these days have endless options when it comes to choosing their wedding gown for their special day. While some choose to stand firm with tradition and stick to white, others are experimenting with necklines, lengths, and yes, pattern and color.
Take Amanda K.’s stunning pale lilac Hayley Paige gown, complete with intricate lace florals and beading: for a wedding that aimed to capture the magical feel of an enchanted garden, the Paige gown proved picture-perfect. Check out the stunning effect in the images below by Sarah Bradshaw Photography.

When online dating, sparks can hinge on the smallest of details. For Mike and Amanda, it all began with pickles. While filling out his OkCupid profile, Mike made a mention of the most mundane of things: his love for pickles. When Amanda came across the profile of the cute Maryland boy, she needed a reason to reach out. They got to chatting (about their mutual love of pickles, their shared distaste for olives, and more), and it wasn’t long before Mike asked Amanda out and they went on their first date.
After dating for nearly four years, Mike asked Amanda to propose at the Lincoln Memorial, in the same location that years prior he had asked Amanda to be his girlfriend. Eleven months after she said yes to his proposal, the couple wed at an elaborate enchanted garden-themed ceremony at The St. Regis.
Going with a dusky, enchanted theme, Amanda picked out a color palette of lilac, pink, and white, and both the ceremony and reception were overflowing with flowers: White anemones, white ranunculus, white garden roses, ivory spray roses, lavender roses, gray dusty miller, purple lisianthus, dark privet berry, grapevine, and white hydrangeas to start.
Guests snacked on hors d’oeuvres customized to honor Mike and Amanda’s home towns: mini crab cakes for Mike and Chicago-style hot dogs for Amanda. For dessert, the party laid into a vanilla pound cake with white chocolate buttercream and fresh raspberries, adorned with lilac flowers and crowed with custom cake toppers in the shape of a panda and a turtle. For their honeymoon, Mike and Amanda headed to Europe for a tour through Croatia, Austria, and Slovenia.
