Thousands of Washington’s biggest foodies turned out for the 24th annual Washingtonian Taste of Georgetown, Presented by Infiniti, on Sunday, September 24. Attendees enjoyed a diverse offering of tasty dishes from 28 of the neighborhood’s best restaurants. In between bites, guests sipped craft beer from Pizzeria Paradiso and wine from 90+ Cellars in addition to refreshing non-alcoholic beverages provided by Pepsi.
94.7’s DJ Jealousy kept guests of all ages entertained throughout the day with hit music, as did a custom flip book photo booth in Infiniti’s lounge, where visitors were welcomed with a complimentary hydration station and the opportunity to experience the 2017 Q50 and QX60 first-hand. For additional entertainment, attendees played lawn games in Washingtonian’s beer garden, powered by Pizzeria Paradiso, and visited the Kids Corner for face painting, coloring, and more.
Guests gathered around the stage to cheer on participants in the annual eating contests, emceed by The Tommy Show’s Tommy McFly and Jen Richer. The two contests featured macaron towers from Olivia Macaron and powdered doughnuts on a string from District Doughnut.
Washingtonian food critics also crowned the best bites of the day, with awards going to 1789 for Best in Show, Clyde’s for Carnivore’s Champion Dish, Chaia for Vegetarian’s Dream Dish, Tony & Joe’s for Best Catch of the Sea, and District Doughnut for Sweetest Sweet.
The 2017 Taste of Georgetown was produced in partnership with the Georgetown Business Improvement District and continues to benefit the Georgetown Ministry Center’s services supporting the homeless.
