A Floral Kimono, Matching Pants, and Lucite Heels: This Stylish Lincoln Memorial Shoot is the Engagement Outfit Inspo You’ve Been Looking For

We’ve seen a lot of playful outfits for engagement shoots in Washington. After all, with so much stone and marble gracing our city’s steps in the form of monuments, memorials, and offices, sometimes a bit of creativity is required to make an engagement session really pop; recent notables include this bride-to-be who went bold with a floor-length fuchsia gown, these two badass leather-clad fiancées, and the full-on ballgown at this Anderson house engagement session.

But we’ve found a new favorite.

When Alex Jung, a law student, met her fiancé Kiet Nguyen, a military officer, while both were students at Georgetown, they began a tentative friendship. Right from the start, Kiet remembers Alex’s sense of style when he first saw her at a floor meeting for their undergrad dorm: “She looked really cute, sitting across the lounge in a blue floral romper.”

Below are images from the couple’s playful engagement shoot on the National Mall and their old stomping grounds—Georgetown. Alex wore a long open kimono jacket and matching printed pants for the first half of their shoot (hello, lucite heels!), then did a wardrobe change into a floral crop top and white culottes with wedges. While the couple vogued for the camera throughout the city, our eyes were on this bride-to-be’s killer ensemble.
