Discover industrial history deep in the woods on the paved, wheelchair-and-stroller-accessible Grist Mill Trail in Maryland’s Patapsco Valley State Park. Past the midpoint of the easy 2.5 miles is a swinging bridge, a replica of one that 19th-century workers used to get to the flour mill—now in ruins—on the other side of the Patapsco River.
