Shakespeare Theatre Company’s An Ideal Husband opens tonight at Sidney Harman Hall. Oscar Wilde’s satirical comedy about upper-class British society runs through April 10. Buy tickets ($20 to $85) at Shakespeare Theatre’s Web site.

Wednesday, March 9
Singer Nicole Atkins uses her Broadway-diva voice on classic-rock-inspired songs. She’s performing at the Rock & Roll Hotel with Cotton Jones and Lightfoot. 8 PM; purchase tickets ($12) at Ticket Alternative or at the door ($14).

Thursday, March 10
Hear the South African a cappella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo’s gospel harmonies—first made internationally famous on Paul Simon’s Graceland album—at Lisner Auditorium. Buy tickets ($25 to $55) at Ticketmaster; 8 PM.
