Do you love your hairstylist? For an upcoming article on good hair salons and stylists, we are looking for recommendations from the people who know this city best—you! If you would like to nominate your salon or hairdresser for our listing of the area’s best, please send an e-mail to hair@washingtonian.com letting us know the name of the salon/stylist you love, the location of the salon (Georgetown, Reston, Bethesda, etc.), what you like about the stylist and/or salon, and a brief description of your hair (curly, straight, thick, short, long, brunette, blonde, etc.).

On the other end of the spectrum, maybe you’re new to the area, or just in need of a change, and have some pressing questions about local salons yourself. Do I tip the owner? In what neighborhood am I most likely to get a late appointment? Where’s a good place for men? If you’ve got more questions than answers, let us know! We’ll do our best to help out.
