Gaylord National Resort Warren Brown, CakeLove’s executive chef and star of the Food Network’s Sugar Rush, is teaming up with the Gaylord for two sugar-laden Mother’s Day packages. The one-night CakeLove Your Mom package ($219) includes two tickets to a cooking demonstration with Brown on May 9. Or you can upgrade to the VIP CakeLove package ($399), which includes a two-night stay (May 8 and 9), two tickets to the cooking demonstration, and four tickets to a cupcake-decorating class with Brown. Hotel Madera This Dupont Circle hotel’s Proudly Preggers package is for moms-to-be. Based on Natalie Bovis-Nelsen’s book, Preggatini: Mixology for the Mom-to-Be, which gives 75 alcohol-free cocktail recipes for expectant mothers, the one-night package includes a signed copy of the book plus an in-room massage and a cocktail muddler to take home. Mandarin Oriental The Marvelous Mothers package at the Mandarin Oriental includes a one-night stay, complimentary cocktails in the Empress Lounge, a manicure and pedicure at the spa, and an in-room breakfast. Marriott Wardman Park This Woodley Park hotel is celebrating moms by offering a discounted rate—$99 a night—for a deluxe room, plus 10 percent off Mother’s Day brunch at the hotel’s Stone’s Throw restaurant, free parking, free wi-fi, and an in-room movie.
