The ninth annual Blue Jeans Ball raised nearly $450,000 (and counting) to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank on Sunday night.

The ball, which took place at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel, was all about comfort. The 700 partygoers donned their best pair of jeans while sampling offerings from more than 30 participating restaurants, including Jaleo, Ping Pong Dim Sum, and Cheff Geoff’s.

First Lady Michelle Obama was the honorary chair, and Norah O’Donnell, the CBS chief White House correspondent, served as the mistress of ceremonies. To end the night, attendees danced along to live music by the Elastic Waistband.
