Good With Photos? We Need You!

Okay, so I know, this isn't exactly arts & entertainment news, but hear me out. The Washingtonian has a job opening for an assistant photo editor, and I figured that the readership of After Hours is savvy, talented and well-connected, and several readers would either have an interest in the position, or know somebody who does. The Washingtonian is seeking a full-time, organized, detail-oriented support person for the Photography Department. Candidate should have a good phone manner and people skills.  Duties include monthly invoicing and budget tracking, photo research, scheduling photo shoots, archiving digital imagery, and managing deadlines.  Experience with PhotoShop, InDesign, accounting software and Macintosh computer a must.

Requirements:

Minimum three years publication experience
Knowledge of traditional and digital photography
Design and Production team experience
Detail-oriented and ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of InDesign, PhotoShop and budget management software
Familiarity with Washington area

Salary commensurate with experience
