Our Pick for the Week: Wine in the Virginia Countryside

The lovely annual Vintage Virginia Wine Festival takes place this weekend out in Centreville. There, you can taste more than 350 varieties of Virginia wine, and do much more. Why not take a seminar on how to taste wine properly, browse arts and crafts for sale, or listen to a lineup of live performances? Mill amongst the tents, sip your wine, and enjoy the day. A day pass for the festival costs $20; you can also buy a shuttle pass for $16 that will take you to and from the festival hourly from the Vienna Metro station. 11 am to 6 pm.

The wine festival is just one of the many activities going on this weekend. For more weekend picks, including a stellar jazz fest, an art raffle, and more, check out Where & When Weekend, our weekend guide to what to do.
