Line-free lobster rolls, art of the Americas, and an homage to the Beatles

Get a chance to taste the now-famous Red Hook Lobster Pound truck’s lobster roll—the same truck that creates lunch lines around the block. Chinatown Coffee Company and Red Hook Lobster Pound are hosting Lobster Roll and Beer Happy Hour. The truck will be parked outside the coffee shop, which has a shiny new liquor license. Enjoy a lobster roll and $3 Lagunitas IPA and Dale’s Pale Ale. Wine will be available as well. 6:30 to 8:30.

It’s time to party artistically as the Friends of the Art Museum of the Americas presents Art After Dark. Sip drinks on the outdoor terrace; jam to live music by DJ SmudgeAdrian Parson’s band Exactly, and Argentinean improv percussion; and check out art and performances by local and Latin American artists, including video installations by Kathryn Cornelius and Rob Parrish. Cash bar. Click here for tickets ($15) and to get your name on the after-party event at Georgetown’s George. 8 PM.

Kick off five days of the world’s largest Beatles-inspired tribute festival at National Harbor. Running through Labor Day, Abbey Road on the River features five indoor and outdoor stages, lectures, fan merchandise, and 30 Beatles tribute bands at the Gaylord National Resort. Tickets start at $15. 4 PM.
